Ukraine got through winter using domestic gas - Naftogaz

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Ukraine made it through the winter using only domestically produced gas, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, Alexey Chernyshov.

"We did this and plan to maintain the trend of Ukraine's energy independence going forward," he said on social media.

As reported, Ukraine increased gas consumption 2.6% in 2023 compared to 2022 to 19.8 bcm. Ukraine's Ministry of Energy said that this year, the country expects to meet its gas needs using domestic production.
