Armenia, Azerbaijan agree at talks in Berlin to continue discussing open issues on peace treaty

YEREVAN/BAKU. Feb 29 (Interfax) - Armenia's and Azerbaijan's foreign ministers have spoken for work on certain key points of a draft treaty on peace and relations between the two states to continue following talks held in Berlin on February 28-29.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov have discussed the provisions of a draft bilateral agreement titled "The Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan," the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.

"Mutual agreement was expressed to continue negotiations on the open issues," its press service said in a statement.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry in turn said that at the talks, the sides discussed each other's positions concerning specific provisions of the document. The sides expressed mutual consent to continue talks on open issues, it said.

Mirzoyan and Bayramov thanked the German side for organizing the talks.
