Ukraine's Kernel exported 4.4 mln tonnes of agricultural products to 70 countries in 2023

MOSCOW. Feb 29 (Interfax) - Kernel, one of Ukraine's largest agro-industrial groups, exported 4.4 million tonnes of agricultural products to 70 countries in 2023, Ukrainian media reported, citing the holding's press service.

Of the total volume, 43% was sent to Asian countries, 42% to Europe, 12% to the Middle East, and 2% to Africa, the group announced on social media.

Kernel was "closer to using the full capacity of its processing plants," by the end of the year, the report said. This allowed it to process 811,000 tonnes of sunflower seeds in Q4, 24% more than in the same period the previous year, and increase sales of sunflower oil by 13% to 388,000 tonnes.

Grain exports in the last quarter of 2023 increased 8.4-fold.

"In 2023, we also offered our infrastructure capabilities to other agricultural producers to expand the export capabilities of the entire industry. We provide services for transshipment of grains and sunflower oil at our terminals in the Odessa region," the holding's press service said.

Kernel is one of the largest producers and exporters of sunflower oil in Ukraine, and is also engaged in the cultivation and sale of agricultural products.
