Oschadbank transfers UAH 0.7 bln in dividends for 2023 to Ukrainian state budget in advance

MOSCOW. Feb 29 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian state-owned Oschadbank has transferred in advance UAH 0.7 billion, or around 50% of the projected amount of dividends, which should be paid to the authorities by the bank for 2023, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement released by the financial institution.

The state-owned bank paid a record amount of income tax of UAH 4.7 billion last year, but the main result was the operating profit, which at the end of 2023 reached UAH 12 billion, having exceeded the figure for 2022 by a factor of one and a half, the press service said.

As of January 1, 2024, Oschadbank ranked second in terms of total assets (UAH 369.65 billion) among 63 banks operating in the country, and its net profit for 2023 stood at UAH 4.75 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine said.

Previously, Ukrnafta (UAH 3.9 billion), Ukrhydroenergo (UAH 1.75 billion), Ukrainian Railways (UAH 1.26 billion), and PrivatBank reported the advance payment of dividends to the state budget.
