Ukraine's Energoatom aims to increase electricity output by 2% in 2024

MOSCOW. Feb 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Energoatom plans to increase electricity generation by 1.2 billion kWh in 2024, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement of the nuclear power company's Telegram channel.

It was reported earlier that nuclear power plants operated by Energoatom produced 52.409 billion kWh of electricity, or almost half of Ukraine's total, in 2023. The company therefore plans to increase production by 2.3% this year.

Energoatom operates the Rovno NPP with four generating units with combined capacity of 2.835 GW, the Khmelnitsky NPP with two units totaling 2 GW and the South Ukraine NPP with three 1-GW units. These plants are located in territory controlled by Kiev.
