Russian FM to visit Turkey this week - Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Turkey on March 1-2 for the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and talks with his Turkish counterpart, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
Lavrov will visit Turkey on March 1-2 at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Lavrov's negotiations with his Turkish counterpart are planned during the visit, she said.
"The meeting will address a broad range of issues, above all, the status and prospects of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, such as trade, energy, security, naturally, banking, tourism and so on," Zakharova said.
The ministers will also exchange views on regional and global affairs, including the situation in Ukraine, the South Caucasus, Palestinian-Israeli affairs, Syria and Libya, she said.
Lavrov will have a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Zakharova said.
