Zelensky visits S. Arabia, meets crown prince, then travels to Albania

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has paid a working visit to Saudi Arabia, where he met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

The two exchanged opinions on the current situation in the world and possible ways to end the crisis in Ukraine, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Ukrainian presidential press service.

"We are equally interested in ensuring global stability," Zelensky said.

The two leaders also discussed specific opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia in the economy and technology fields.

After visiting Saudi Arabia, Zelensky travelled to Tirana to meet with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and take part in a Ukraine Southeast Europe summit.

"In our bilateral talks with the [Albanian] Prime Minister and his team, we will discuss defense and political cooperation," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying on his social account.

Having met in Tirana, Zelensky and Rama signed a treaty on friendship and cooperation between Ukraine and Albania, Ukrainian media reported citing the presidential press service.

"Ukraine and Albania will develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science and technology, culture, education, healthcare, media, tourism and sports," it said.

"It also provides for the establishment of commercial contacts between state and private enterprises and organizations of the two countries," it said.

Ukraine and Albania will also cooperate "in the field of environmental protection, the use of environmentally friendly technologies, and the rational use of natural resources," it said.
