Kyrgyz, Turkish presidents discuss cooperation, implementation of existing agreements

BISHKEK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral cooperation during a phone call, the Kyrgyz leader's press service said on Monday.

"A telephone conversation has taken place between President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan," the press service said.

The presidents exchanged views on key issues concerning bilateral cooperation and discussed the progress made in implementing earlier reached agreements, it said.

Japarov also congratulated Erdogan on his 70th birthday, adding that under Erdogan's leadership Turkey has achieved major successes in all fields and has bolstered its positions on the world stage.
