Ukrgazvydobuvannya paid over UAH 2 bln gas rent in Jan
MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya (UGV) paid more than UAH 2 billion in gas rent in January, Ukrainian media quoted a company press release as saying on Tuesday.
It paid 5% or more than UAH 100 million to regional and local budgets in the regions where the company operates.
"The rest went to the state budget," the company said.
The biggest payments were UAH 51.07 million and UAH 40.16 million to local budgets in the Kharkov region and Poltava region, respectively.
Rent is based on the sale price of Ukrgazvydobuvannya's natural gas in favor of Naftogaz Ukraine.
UGV paid UAH 23.8 billion in gas rent, 5% or UAH 1.19 billion of it to local and regional budgets, for 2023.
