Tajikistan, Iran hold meeting of special group on promoting SCO states' investments

DUSHANBE. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The special working group on promoting investments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states held a meeting in Tehran, which was chaired by Tajikistan and co-chaired by Iran, the Tajik Foreign Ministry said.

"The participants in the meeting discussed steps to implement the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's economic development strategy for the period until 2030 and the SCO member states' multilateral trade and economic cooperation program, with a focus on investment cooperation," the ministry said.

The parties also exchanged views on draft agreements to establish an SCO investment fund and on a concept for creating an SCO investor association, it said.

The Tajik delegation also presented the country's investment opportunities at the meeting, it said.
