Unidentified assailants spill rapeseed from Ukrainian grain cars in Poland, Ukrainian embassy in Warsaw responds with note

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Unidentified assailants have opened hatches of two grain cars on the 1,435mm rail tracks at the Dorohusk railway station and dumped rapeseed, which was bound for Germany, last Friday.

This cargo, as well as other agricultural products, were being transited across Poland, Ukrainian media quoted Ukrainian Railways as saying.

"Unpunished crimes always recur. Criminals should be identified and prosecuted immediately so that the others would not be tempted to repeat [their offense]," Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Restoration Alexander Kubrakov said.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian embassy in Warsaw filed an official note to the Polish authorities demanding that the plotters and perpetrators of the offense be identified and brought to justice, Ukrainian media reported, citing Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasily Zvarych.

He noted that impunity was unacceptable and "criminals who have no respect for and destroy other people's property must be held accountable before the law."

Zvarych added that a rule-of-law state, which Poland is, should act resolutely and uncompromisingly in such cases.
