Ukraine ready to set egg, poultry, sugar exports to Poland at 2022-2023 levels

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Ukraine is ready to set egg, poultry and sugar exports to Poland at the 2022-2023 levels, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"We introduced a mechanism for verification and control of four grain groups on September 16. We are ready to do more and set egg, poultry and sugar exports at the 2022-2023 levels. These are rather large amounts. We are ready to set them and operate within these boundaries," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at the Ukraine. Year 2024 forum on Sunday.

Speaking of Polish farmers' protests at the Ukrainian-Polish border, he said that the Polish government and police gave a proper response to the protests and opened related cases. The first perpetrators are standing trial and facing up to five years in jail.
