Armenian Foreign Ministry: Borrell plans to visit Yerevan

YEREVAN. Feb 22 (Interfax) - High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell plans to visit Yerevan, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said.

"Josep Borrell's visit to Armenia is on the agenda. Armenia certainly welcomes this," Badalyan told Interfax.

The dates for Borrell's visit have not yet been set, she said.

"As we've said already, Armenia is exploring opportunities for further enhancing our partnership with the EU," she said.

The head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia said on Thursday that Borrell might visit the country in mid-March, during a meeting between Armenian and EU officials under the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.
