Capital investment in Kazakhstan up 0.6% in Jan

ALMATY. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Capital investment in Kazakhstan rose 0.6% year-on-year in January to 790.8 billion tenge, the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.

The mineral resource sector received 37% of the investment, real estate 18.2%, transport and logistics 15.5% and manufacturing 11.7%.

Businesses provided 82.6% or 653.3 billion tenge of the total investment, budgeted funds 2.8%, bank loans 1.6% and other borrowed funds 13%, of which non-residents 2.5%.
