Tinkoff Bank begins operating in Crimea

MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Tinkoff Bank (SPB: TCS ) intends to begin delivering debit and credit cards to Crimea as of February 20, the bank's support service told Interfax.

The meetings will take place in Simferopol and Sevastopol.

It is assumed that the cards will be delivered by a bank representative.

Tinkoff Bank fell in July 2023 under blocking sanctions from the United States and Canada, in February of this year it was included in the EU sanctions list, and in May in the UK.

There are currently seven banks operating in Crimea: Sberbank , Promsvyazbank , Russian National Commercial Bank (RNCB), AB Rossiya, Genbank, Industrial Savings Bank, Black Sea Bank for Development and Reconstruction (BSRD).
