Belarusian industrial output up 5.4% in Jan

MINSK. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Belarusian industrial output rose 5.4% year-on-year at constant prices to 15.6 billion Belarusian rubles in January, national statistical committee Belstat said.

Output grew in the extractive industry by 4.2% and in manufacturing by 4.5%. It rose 13.8% in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning but fell 4.3% in water utilities.

Industry grew 7.7% in 2023, fell 5.4% in 2022 and grew 6.5% in 2021.
