Tinkov designated foreign agent in Russia

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The Russian Justice Ministry has designated banker Oleg Tinkov, who left Russia, as a foreign agent, the ministry's website said on Friday.

"Oleg Tinkov took part in creating foreign agents' messages and materials for an unlimited circle of people, and spread false information about decisions issued by public authorities in the Russian Federation and policies pursued by them. He was opposed to the special military operation in Ukraine," the ministry said.

Actor Nikita Kukushkin, journalist and literary critic Anna Narinskaya, blogger Aslan Artsuyev and philosopher Yulia Sineokaya were also added to the foreign agent register on Friday on similar grounds.

All of them currently live outside of Russia.
