Russia ready to consider U.S. initiatives on security interaction if such proposals made - Peskov

CHELYABINSK. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The Kremlin said it will be ready to consider U.S. initiatives on interaction in connection with threats to U.S. national security if such initiatives follow.

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov thus commented to journalists on reports stating that U.S. President Joe Biden has ordered establishing contacts with the Russian side on issues relating to threats to U.S. national security.

According to media reports, this statement was made after the U.S. authorities said Russia allegedly has plans to deploy nuclear weapons in space.

"If there are some initiatives on the U.S. side, [...] they have not been received yet," Peskov told reporters.
