Turkmen deputy FM, UNECE official discuss green energy cooperation prospects

ASHGABAT. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova and Director of the Sustainable Energy Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Dario Liguti have discussed the prospects for cooperation in green energy, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in green energy, sustainable energy and in reducing methane emissions, it said. They also focused on cooperation in terms of UNECE's expert support in solar and wind energy, as well as the development and implementation of advanced energy storage and transmission technologies.
