Zelensky instructs Shmygal to hold urgent talks with Tusk on situation on Ukrainian-Polish border

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Following a conference on the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky instructed Prime Minister Denis Shmygal to urgently meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk for negotiations, Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying in his video address on Thursday evening.

"In Ukraine, we view what has happen and is continuing to happen with regard to our citizens and Ukrainian freight as an obvious violation of solidarity principles. Ukrainian grain on the asphalt is not just a few dramatic videos. This shows how emotions can become dangerous," Zelensky said.

"We should defend neighborliness and solidarity despite anything," Zelensky said. "We should [...] always reach a consensus between ourselves, Ukrainian and Poles," he said.

Polish farmers have been blocking several crossings on the Ukrainian border in protest against increasing Ukrainian agricultural exports.
