Grain reserves in Russian agricultural organizations in Jan down 0.8% YoY - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Stocks of grain and leguminous crops in Russian agricultural organizations in January amounted to 32.013 million tonnes, down 0.8% year-on-year, Rosstat said in materials.

In particular, there were 19.945 million tonnes of wheat (up 0.9%) and 3.428 million tonnes of corn (down 6.2%).

Stocks of oilseeds amounted to 4.886 million tonnes (down 18.2%), including 2.482 million tonnes of sunflower (down 12.9%).

In addition, agricultural organizations had 1.43 million tonnes of sugar beets (up 41.7%), 1.749 million tonnes of potatoes (up 40.3), 492,900 tonnes of vegetables (up 25.7%).

Stocks of meat decreased by 15.2%, to 56,500 tonnes, including beef stocks falling by 48.4% to 1,500 tonnes, pork by 3.9% to 4,800 tonnes, poultry - by 14.7% to 49,600 tonnes. There were 18,000 tonnes of milk (down 0.3%) and 316.2 million eggs (down 13%).
