Germany cuts oil imports from Azerbaijan 46.3% in 2023

BAKU. Feb 14 (Interfax) - Germany cut oil imports from Azerbaijan 46.3% year-on-year to about 1.2 million tonnes in 2023, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, Destatis, said in a statement.

Destatis data indicate that the supply volume dropped 56.5% to 750.3 million euros in monetary terms in 2023.

Germany decreased oil imports from Azerbaijan 32% year-on-year to 157,800 tonnes in December 2023, a drop of 35.9% to 102 million euros in monetary terms.

Destatis data indicate that Germany boosted oil imports from Azerbaijan 1.5-fold year-on-year to 2.2 million tonnes in 2022, a rise of 2.5-fold to 1.7 billion euros in monetary terms.
