Azerbaijani govt resigns after President Aliyev's inauguration

BAKU. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The Azerbaijani government has resigned.

By Article 116 of the Azerbaijani constitution, the national government has to resign once the new president takes office, Azerbaijani media said.

Aliyev, who won the snap presidential election on February 7, 2024, was inaugurated earlier on Wednesday. He took the oath and started to fulfill presidential duties.
