President Aliyev's inauguration held in Azerbaijan
BAKU. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The inauguration of Ilham Aliyev, reelected in the snap presidential election in Azerbaijan, took place in the Milli Mejlis (parliament) on Wednesday, the presidential website said.
Aliyev took the oath with his hand on the Azerbaijani constitution and swore on the Koran to remain faithful to the "national moral values and traditions created by the Azerbaijani people over the centuries."
Aliyev gained 92.12% of the vote in the February 7 election. This is Aliyev's fifth presidential term, he has been in office since October 2003.
