Uzbekistan Airways to add flights between Uzbekistan and St. Petersburg starting Feb. 17

ST. PETERSBURG. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan Airways will increase the number of its flights between Uzbekistan and St. Petersburg starting the second half of February, the press service of Northern Capital Gateway LLC (operator of St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport) said.

"Starting February 17, the carrier will increase the number of flights to Fergana from two to three per week. Additional flights on Saturdays will be added to flights on Tuesdays and Fridays. Flights to Namangan will begin starting February 21. Flights will be operated once a week on Wednesdays," the release says.

There are also flights from St. Petersburg to other cities in Uzbekistan, such as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench and Termez, the operator's press service said.

The schedule of Pulkovo Airport shows that, in addition to Uzbekistan Airways, Rossiya, UTair , and Qanot Sharq (Uzbekistan) airlines currently fly from St. Petersburg to Uzbekistan.

The official website of Uzbekistan Airways says that the airline was created in 1992. Its flight geography includes more than 50 countries in Europe and Asia. The carrier operates Airbus A320 and A321neo aircraft.
