Kiev, Hamburg sign memorandum on transport cooperation

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - The Kiev Road Traffic Organization Center and the Hamburg Public Transport Association have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the transport and mobility transformation sector, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Kiev city administration's Transport Infrastructure Department.

"This memorandum is a new step in strategic partnership between Kiev and Hamburg under the Agreement for Solidarity and Future signed between Kiev and Hamburg in 2022," it said.

The memorandum provides for sharing experience and best practices in planning and regulating road traffic, including the operational management and maintenance of traffic lights systems, prioritizing public transport in traffic lights regulation, providing integrated coordination between a construction site and program management, digitalizing route management, developing a citywide strategy for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, improving the functioning of public transport to provide reliable and safe access to it, including digital applications, and planning sustainable urban mobility.
