Kazakhstan's Financial Monitoring Agency gets new head

ALMATY. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Dmitry Malakhov has been appointed as the new chairman of Kazakhstan's Financial Monitoring Agency, the Kazakh president's press service said.

"Dmitry Mikhailovich Malakhov was appointed chairman of Kazakhstan's Financial Monitoring Agency by decree of the head of state. He was relieved of his previous position," the press service said.

Malakhov was previously the agency's deputy chairman.

The former agency's former head, Zhanat Elimanov, was appointed first deputy chairman of the National Security Committee.
