Portugal cut oil imports from Azerbaijan 44.5% in 2023 to 631,000 tonnes

BAKU. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Portugal imported about 631,300 tonnes of oil from Azerbaijan in 2023, 44.5% less than in 2022.

Based on data from Portugal's National Statistical Institute, Interfax calculated that, in monetary terms, the value of the shipments halved YoY to 404.6 million euros.

Statistics show that Portugal imported about 1.1 million tonnes of oil from Azerbaijan in 2022 (a decrease of 3.4% compared to 2021) with a value of 816.5 million euros (an increase of 53.5%).
