Turkmenistan produces 80.6 bcm of gas, 8.3 mln tonnes of oil in 2023 - statistics authority

ASHGABAT. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Turkmenistan has extracted over 80 billion cubic meters of natural gas and over eight million tonnes of oil in 2023, Dovletgeldi Amanmukhammedov, the chairman of Turkmenistan's State Statistics Committee, said.

A steady growth was noted in the industry sector in 2023. In particular, a total of 80.618 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 8.316 million tonnes of oil were extracted, Turkmenistan's State News Agency reported on Saturday with a reference to Amanmukhammedov's report at the extended meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.

During the meeting, Ammanmukhammedov reported about the ministries and relevant agencies' implementation of plans for the past year.
