Power supply cut to 366 communities across Ukraine on Thursday - grid operator
MOSCOW. Feb 8 (Interfax) - Power supply was cut to 366 communities across Ukraine for various reasons as of Thursday morning, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the national power grid operator Ukrenergo's statement on its social account.
The operations of all power supply lines in Kiev, which were damaged on Wednesday, have been resumed now, but new disruptions have been recorded in the Dnepropetrovsk and Nikolayev regions and in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region, it said.
Power supply has been cut for technical reasons to 2,985 households in four communities in the Odessa region, 121 in the Kirovograd region, 63 in the Sumy region, and 1,202 in the Kiev-controlled part of the Kherson region.
The Energy Ministry said 10 kV overhead power transmission lines were disabled for technical reasons in the Kirovograd region.
As reported with reference to Ukrenergo and the Energy Ministry, there is no shortage in the energy system, and no shortage is anticipated anytime soon.
