Situation around Zaporozhye NPP improves - IAEA's Grossi

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Feb 7 (Interfax) - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi noted an improvement of the situation around the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) during a briefing conference there on Wednesday.

Grossi said he could see all the professional effort and work aimed at stabilizing the situation and that he has seen an improvement of the situation, noting that one should not forget about the ongoing conflict.

He specified that he was speaking of possible power outages, attacks and breaches of the physical integrity of the plant's facilities.

Those things are beyond the control of those professionals working at the plant, and in this respect, the situation is not stable enough, Grossi said
