Ukraine ready to look for reasonable compromises to extend freight transport agreement with EU - premier

MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Ukraine is ready to look for reasonable compromises in order to extend the Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on the Carriage of Freight by Road, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"It is crucial for all of us to extend the Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on the Carriage of Freight by Road. It is what we call a 'visa-free transport agreement' and it considerably improves logistics between Ukraine and the EU," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shmygal as saying at a briefing with High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell in Kiev on Wednesday.

Such approach is beneficial for the EU as well, the Ukrainian premier said. "Ukraine is ready to look for reasonable compromises and act based on economic pragmatism. I am confident we can find necessary solutions together," he said.
