Ukraine's IMC agroholding boosts corn harvest 8% in 2023

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Ukraine's IMC agroholding has completed the 2023 corn harvest, harvesting 574,000 tonnes, Ukrainian media reported, citing the company's statement from CEO Alex Lissitsa.

"A total of 574,000 tonnes were threshed from an area of 46,300 hectares, the average corn yield was a record 12.4 tonnes/ha for all years of the company's management, which is 1.3 tonnes/ha higher than the previous record set back in 2018," Lissitsa posted on social media.

As reported, IMC completed the 2022 corn harvest last year in early March, harvesting 532,000 tonnes, a decrease of 0.6% by 2021. Thus, the 2023 harvest increased 7.9%.

IMC specializes in growing grains and oilseeds, cultivates 120,000 hectares of land in the Poltava, Chernigov and Sumy regions, and owns storage facilities for grains and oilseeds. The IMC group in April 2011, known as Industrial Dairy Company at that time, carried out an IPO of 24% of shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) and raised $29.8 million.
