EEC intends to extend anti-dumping duties on bearings from China for another five years

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has completed a repeat anti-dumping investigation into rolling bearings, with the exception of needle bearings, from China and has found grounds for extending the anti-dumping measures imposed on the import of these products for five years, the EEC said in a statement.

"An analysis of the information obtained during the investigation allows us to draw a conclusion about the possibility of continuing dumped imports of goods from China and resuming damage to the economic sector if the anti-dumping measure is terminated," the EEC said in materials based on the results of the investigation.

The EEC established the anti-dumping import duty on Chinese bearings in 2011, after which it has been extended several times. The anti-dumping duty rates are currently 31.3% of the customs value for Wuxi Rolling Bearings LLC and 41.5% for other manufacturers.

The duty was last extended in 2018 and was supposed to expire on August 20, 2023, though it has been maintained during the anti-dumping investigation until April 20, 2024, inclusive.
