Grain and soy exports from Primorye grow 20%, most go to China - Rosselkhoznadzor

VLADIVOSTOK. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Exports of grain and grain processing products from the Primorsky Territory in January 2024 reached 96,800 tonnes, the regional branch of Rosselkhoznadzor said.

It was previously reported that exports in January 2023 totaled 80,729 tonnes. The January 2024 figure represents a 19.9% increase.

The region exported 75,800 tonnes to China (a 13.4% increase; 78.3% of total exports), including 39,200 tonnes of soybeans, 22,600 tonnes of barley, 8,700 tonnes of corn, 4,800 tonnes of wheat, 200 tonnes of oats, 200 tonnes of flax fiber and 100 tonnes of rice cereal.

South Korea received 20,000 tonnes of corn and 100 tonnes of agricultural seeds, while 700 tonnes of oats went to India, and 200 tonnes of wheat flour were exported to North Korea.
