Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan sign railway transport memorandum

ASTANA. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan signed to harmonize the development of railway transport and logistics within the EAEU countries, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Transport and Communications said.

"The signed document marks a significant step towards fostering continued collaboration among the Belarusian, Russian, and Kazakh railway administrations with regard to market changes and accumulated experience," the head of the Belarusian Railway, Vladimir Morozov, said.

He said the United Transport and Logistics Company originally established for EAEU transit cargo "now extends its services to include shipments between Belarus and China."

"Exports from Belarus to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia have surged between 10% and 45%. The collaborative efforts of railway administrations have yielded favorable results in facilitating transportation to China," Morozov said.
