Russia's Miratorg makes first meat product shipment to Maldives

VORONEZH. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Miratorg, one of Russia's leading meat producers, sent its first shipment of meat products to the Maldives, the Kursk Region Ministry of Agriculture said.

The products were sent from a Miratorg facility in the Oktyabrsky district. The January shipment was 11 tonnes in 6 containers consisting of pork brisket, pork ribs, bacon, carbonate, and sausages.

The ministry said that the facility making the shipment is certified to export a wide range of meat products to the countries of the Persian Gulf, the EAEU among others.

Miratorg" was founded in 1995. The holding includes a crop production division, feed mills, pig and poultry breeding and livestock breeding sites, as well as slaughtering and product processing enterprises. The main assets are located in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kursk, Moscow, Oryol, Tula and Smolensk regions. Victor and Alexander Linnik are the owners.
