Peskov declines to comment on possible Putin interview with U.S. journalist Carlson

MOSCOW. Feb 5 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has declined to comment on a possible interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin with U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson, who is currently in Russia.

"As for possible interviews with the president, in particular those with foreign media outlets, we have nothing to say at the moment. We will keep you posted if such plans emerge," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the press on Monday.

He was asked whether Carlson might interview Putin.

The Russian presidential administration "should hardly give any information on the movements of foreign journalists. Many foreign journalists arrive in the Russian Federation every day, and many of them continue to work here. We welcome that," Peskov said.
