Zelensky says thinking of replacing not only Zaluzhny but also some other leaders

MOSCOW. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said he is thinking of possibly replacing not only Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander Valery Zaluzhny but also a number of other top officials.

"Zaluzhny? We need a reset, a replacement of not only the military leadership. This is an issue that concerns people who should lead Ukraine. A reset, a new beginning is definitely needed," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying in an interview with the Italian national public broadcaster RAI, published on Sunday.

"I am thinking of something serious, which concerns not just one person but the leadership's course. When we talk about this, I mean the replacement of a number of government officials, not just in a particular sector, like in the army, for instance. I am thinking of this replacement, but it could be wrong to say that we've replaced one person here," he said.

"We should have proper positive energy [...] that's why I am talking about a reset, a change. I am thinking of something serious, it's not about one particular person but about the course of the country's leadership," he said.
