Zelensky grateful to Kazakhstan for humanitarian aid to Ukraine through civic organizations
ASTANA. Feb 5 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky have discussed developing bilateral humanitarian, trade and economic ties in a phone call, the Kazakh presidential press service said.
"During the conversation, the Ukrainian president expressed gratitude to the Kazakh leader for the provision of humanitarian aid through Kazakh civic organizations to the people of his country," the statement said.
The phone conversation took place at the initiative of the Ukrainian side, the press service said.
"The two leaders addressed, in particular, efforts to intensify bilateral trade and economic relations as well as political dialogue," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky's press service as saying. "Zelensky thanked the people of Kazakhstan and businesses for the humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine," the statement said.
