Ukraine needs 18-bln-euro support from EU in 2024 - Zelensky

MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Ukraine would need two tranches of EU financial assistance totaling 18 billion euros in 2024, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in a video address on Thursday, as quoted by Ukrainian media.

"I am grateful to each of the 27 EU member states and the heads of European institutions. Now it is important to distribute the funds the way that was done in the previous assistance format," Zelensky said.

"As for the first two tranches, we will need a bigger sum, 18 billion euros within a year. The state will be resilient then. Teams of Ukraine and the EU will work on it," Zelensky said.
