Moscow court again fines Amazon 2 mln rubles for failing to delete content
MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax) - Moscow's Tagansky District Court has imposed a two-million-ruble fine on the Amazon corporation for failing to remove content which access to must be restricted, the court told Interfax.
"Amazon.com Inc. has been issued a penalty in the form of an administrative fine of two million rubles," the court said on Thursday.
The company has been found guilty of failing to delete information which must be removed.
The complaints arose after Amazon failed to comply with a demand from the telecoms watchdog Roskomnadzor to remove information on methods of suicide and on where to obtain drugs.
None of the company's representatives was present in the courtroom.
