Brazil to host Russian Seasons in 2024

MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Seasons international project will be held in Latin America for the first time in 2024, with the festival's events due to take place in Brazil, Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova said.

"Our annual international project Russian Seasons [...] will visit Latin America for the first time and will go to Brazil," Lyubimova said at a Culture Ministry plenary session on Tuesday.

Russian Seasons is a large-scale festival aimed at promoting Russian culture to foreign audiences. It took place in Japan, Italy and Germany in different years. The festival's host countries in 2020 were France, Belgium and Luxembourg, but some of its events had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. South Korea and Belgium hosted Russian Seasons in 2021.

It was due to take place in Norway, Sweden and Denmark in 2022, but was canceled. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan hosted the festival in 2023.
