Jeep dealer chain expanding in Ukraine

MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - The Jeep brand of all-terrain vehicles has enlarged its chain in Ukraine by opening new dealerships in some of the largest Ukrainian cities, such as Kharkov, Odessa, Lvov and Dnepropetrovsk, Ukrainian media said, citing the press service for the Stellantis Ukraine company.

"Following the simultaneous launch of three dealerships in Kiev, new Jeep dealerships in other cities with a million-plus population have now been added to this list," the press service said on Monday.

The Jeep center in Kharkov, Alfa Avangard, was opened almost in the city center by the Alfa Avangard company, which has a years-long record of working with Stellantis brands, it said. Odessa's Jeep center, Adis Motor, was opened next to the company's other dealerships representing different brands.

Ilta Lvov was opened by Stellantis' long-term partner, Ilta company, while Dnepropetrovsk's Jeep center, Aelita, is part of Aelita Group of Companies, which, according to information on its website, positions itself as a market leader by number of car brands available at its stores.

"All these Jeep dealerships are ready to operate at full capacity," it said.

As reported, the Stellantis representative office in Ukraine (Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, DS Automobiles, Jeep) sold around 5,100 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) via its dealer chain in 2023, gaining more than 7% of the market.

The comprehensive 'relaunch' of the brand in Ukraine took place at the end of 2023, so the results of Jeep sales are not yet indicative.

In 2024, the compact crossover Jeep Avenger will complement the model lineup already on the Ukrainian market - the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Compass.

The plan was to open at least ten dealer centers in Ukraine.
