Resumption of TikTok's operations in Russia currently not under consideration - Russian digital development minister

STRELNA. Jan 29 (Interfax) - The resumption of the work of the social network TikTok in Russia is currently not under consideration, Russian Digital Development and Mass Communications Minister Maksut Shadayev said.

"No, [it is] currently not [being considered]," Shadayev told reporters in response to a question as to whether the resumption of TikTok's operations is under consideration.

Certain media previously reported the alleged full resumption of TikTok's operations in Russia on some users' devices. Meanwhile, there have been no statements by the company on this matter.

TikTok said on March 6, 2022 that it had decided to temporarily ban the publication of new videos and direct broadcasts in Russia due to the law on fakes.
