Ukraine approves new charter for Naftogaz, raising charter capital, adding new activities

MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Cabinet approved a new charter for state oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukraine on Friday, the government's representative in parliament, Taras Melnichuk said.

The charter was amended "with the aim of bringing it in line with the provisions of the law 'On joint-stock companies,'" Melnichuk said on Telegram.

"Charter capital has been increased; new types of activities have been included in the business profile; the fact that the company has a two-tier management structure has been specified; the exclusive powers of the general meeting of shareholders have been expanded," he added.

Furthermore, the regulations on the supervisory board and management board have been repealed.
