Foreign ministers of Russia, UAE discuss situation in Red Sea area, strengthening Russia-UAE cooperation
MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have had a phone conversation to discuss key regional and international issues, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
"The foreign ministers discussed vital issues relating to further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between Russia and the UAE," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The sides also reaffirmed Moscow and Abu Dhabi's mutual commitment to expanding the entire range of their bilateral relations, including in the humanitarian sphere, the ministry said.
"They also exchanged opinions on key international and regional issues with an emphasis on the development of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the situation in the Red Sea area," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
