Kolmar reportedly aims to boost coal output 17% to 13.5 mln t in 2024 - local authorities

YAKUTSK. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Kolmar Coal Mining Company LLC plans to increase coal production by 17.4% to 13.5 million tonnes in 2024, the press service of Yakutia's government reported in a press release.

"In 2023, production for the Kolmar group of companies totalled 11.5 million tonnes, including 4.2 million tonnes at the Denisovsky mine and 7.4 million tonnes at the Inaglinsky mine. In 2024, there are plans to mine 13.5 million tonnes [including] 5.4 million tonnes at Denisovsky and 8.1 million tonnes at Inaglinsky," the press release said.

The company shipped 6.1 million tonnes of coal in 2023, including 4.2 million tonnes of concentrate for export.

Kolmar invested about 108.3 billion rubles in projects in Yakutia in 2018-2023.

Kolmar said earlier that it mined over 12.4 million tonnes of coal in 2022. The Russian group includes coal mines, trading and logistics companies that form a complete chain from mining and washing to shipment of coking and thermal coal mined at deposits in Yakutia's Neryungri district.
