Azerbaijan considering withdrawal from Council of Europe - media

BAKU. Jan 25 (Interfax) - The Azerbaijani authorities are considering withdrawing from the Council of Europe, after the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) denied credentials to the Azerbaijani delegation on Thursday, the Azerbaijani news agency APA said on Thursday.

"Currently, not only PACE, but also the procedure of withdrawing from the Council of Europe in general is being investigated by the official Baku," the agency said, citing its sources.

Azerbaijan may also deny recognition of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR)'s jurisdiction, it said.
