Ukrnafta gets over 20 mln hryvni in dividends from minority operations in 2023

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - PJSC Ukrnafta in 2023 for the first time received millions in dividends from the Naftotransservice transport and production company and the security firm Security, in which it owns 49.9% of shares.

"The general meeting of Naftotransservice LLC members decided to pay dividends for 2020, 2021 and 2022 - around 6.3 million hryvni in total. It was almost 14 million hryvi from Security LLC for the same period plus the first nine months of 2023," Ukrainian media quoted Ukrnafta Director Sergei Koretsky as saying.

Thus, the total amount of receipts topped 20 million hryvni. Subsequent dividend payments for 2023 from both companies are expected in February 2024.

"These are the first funds from the results of their operations since 2020," Ukrnafta said.

Ukrnafta is Ukraine's largest oil producer. It has a national network of 537 filling stations, of which 456 are operating.

The biggest shareholder is Naftogaz with 50% plus one share. The Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief ruled on November 5, 2022 to expropriate Ukrnafta shares owned by private shareholders - that stake is now controlled by the Defense Ministry.
